PARTICIPANTS IN DAY PROGRAMS at The Cedars of Marin are given an unusual amount of responsibility in determining how they will spend their time. Many Cedars clients vary their days between working, either for pay or as volunteers throughout Marin County, and enrichment classes of one sort or another. Each of our day programs offers a welcoming environment and clients take great pride in knowing and following their daily schedules. Most importantly, programs at The Cedars of Marin are highly successful at helping participants to lead meaningful, productive lives.

The Victory Center for Arts and Communications provides a supportive environment in which adults with developmental disabilities explore their creativity and learn to communicate through the arts.

The Community Challenges day program enables adults with developmental disabilities to develop their functional life skills through volunteer work, social activities, physical fitness, cooking and music classes.

The Textile Art Center offers programs in gardening, animal husbandry and fiber arts, crafts and music, and well as specialized programming for seniors with developmental disabilities.

The Cedarchest is The Cedars’ retail store in downtown San Anselmo where patrons learn about weaving and purchase goods created by Cedars’ clients.

“My sister, Lorraine, has called Cedars home now for over 20 years. She takes great pride in her work at the Textile Arts Center, looks forward to weekend dances and enjoys her friendships with the staff and other clients at Cedars. Lorraine’s life at Cedars has given her dignity, purpose and joy.”
