Family Association (CFA)
THE CEDARS FAMILY ASSOCIATION (CFA) provides support to both The Cedars of Marin and to the families of Cedars' clients. The goals of the CFA include:
  • Serving as a forum for family members to discuss and provide input to The Cedars on issues;
  • Helping Cedars communicate its mission, raise funds, and increase awareness of issues affecting the developmentally disabled (DD);
  • Engaging Cedars' families regarding other matters that affect their DD family member.

The Family Association generally meets three times per year: in May at the time of Marin Special Olympics, in September, and in December for an annual holiday celebration. The meetings include updates from the Executive Director and other Cedars' staff and volunteers on current projects, new initiatives, and future plans as well as occasional updates on broader issues affecting Cedars' families. The meetings can also serve as an open forum for issues and questions raised by those in attendance. The CFA also maintains a web site which can be reached from here.

For more information about upcoming meetings or the CFA in general please contact James Brentano via email
